Italian dinner/dance set

 

Get a taste of the old country with the Sons of Italy’s annual dinner and dance to benefit its scholarship fund. Set for Saturday, March 2, the event takes place at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building.

  The festive night begins with a no-host cocktail hour at 6 p.m. A classic pork piccata dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

  From 8 to 11 p.m., pull out those dancing shoes for a night of big band era music from Swing and a Miss, which offers classic songs with a 17-piece orchestra.

  Tickets are $25 and all proceeds benefit the scholarship fund run by Order Sons of Italy in America, Valley of the Moon Lodge #1959, which every year honors promising high school senior’s financial assistance to complete their education. All in the community are welcome to attend.
