Hula Mai dance classes set at Vintage House

Hula Mai continues to bring the sweet dances of Hawaii right here to Wine Country. Instructor Betty Ann Bruno is beginning fall classes at Vintage House senior center, where students can take beginner, intermediate and advanced classes on Fridays.

  “It doesn’t matter how old you are, or how young; it doesn’t matter whether you’ve never danced before because hula is the dance of the heart. Everybody can do it and everybody enjoys it when they dance from the heart,” Bruno said.

  Dozens have already joined Hula Mai, which offers occasional performances at venues such as the Grinstead Amphitheater in the Plaza and the Moose Lodge, along with private events.
