‘Hit and Run’ screened on Monday
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard in "Hit and Run."
The Sonoma International Film Festival will host a sneak peek of “Hit and Run” on Monday, Aug. 20, at Murphy’s Irish Pub. Due to popular demand, the film will be shown twice; doors open at 5:15 p.m. for the first show and at 7:55 p.m. for the second screening.
The film will be widely released Aug. 22, but Sonomans can get an early glimpse of the movie written and directed by Dax Shepard. In the movie, Charlie Bronson (Shepard), is a former getaway driver who jeopardizes his witness protection program identity to drive his girlfriend (Kristen Bell) to Los Angeles so she can land her dream job. After being chased by the feds (led by Tom Arnold), their road trip becomes increasingly dangerous when Charlie’s former gang of criminals (led by Bradley Cooper) enter the fray.
Tickets are $35 and include a drink, appetizer, dinner (choice of chicken, meat or vegetarian entree) and the film.
There is limited seating at each screening. Tickets are available at sonomafilmfest.org.
