Hike, picnic at Annadel set June 20

The June 20 hike in the summer series of Wednesday Twilight Picnic Hikes will be held in Annadel State Park. 

  The free, docent led, 1.5-hour hike through mixed woods of bay, fir, oak and manzanita will start at 5:30 p.m.  The group will hike from the end of Violetti Road near Spring Lake taking the fire road to the Cobblestone Trail and then loop back along the Orchard Trail to the picnic area.

  The evening will end with a bring-your-own-picnic.

  Hikers should meet at 5:15 p.m. at the Annadel State Park entrance. There is a parking fee of $7. The free docent-led hikes are sponsored by the Valley of the Moon Natural History Association.
