Helen Agius
Helen Agius passed away on Oct. 13, 2012, her family at her side. She was 90. A longtime resident of San Francisco and Millbrae, she was a recent resident of Sonoma. A native of Turkey, she lived in Greece, Egypt and Malta before immigrating to the United States in 1954.
She was the wife of the late Paul Agius; mother of Josephine (Jessie) Hannon (Richard) and the late Stella Muscat (Eugene, also deceased); grandmother of Jason Muscat, Alex Muscat, Deneane Hannon and Christy Hannon Ventura; great-grandmother of Levi Ventura, Amelia Muscat and Stella Ventura.
The family wishes to thank her caregiver Debbie Barber and Hospice By The Bay for their support.
Family and friends are invited to a vigil and rosary on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St., Sonoma.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Solano Church, 469 Third St. W., Sonoma, CA 95476.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen’s name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1710, New York, N.Y. 10122, or www.ocrf.org.
Private committal at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.
