Hazel Stedman

  Hazel Stedman, 68, died peacefully Aug. 22, 2012, in her home, in Sonoma.

  She came into this world in London, England, in 1944, during an air raid blitz. Her family immigrated to Canada. She later immigrated to the United States where she proudly became a naturalized citizen.

  Hazel worked many years at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. She started in the dish room and worked her way up to become a dietary supervisor.

  Hazel is survived by her husband, Gordon; sons Grant, of Fairfield, Roland, of Houston, and Kevin, of Santa Rosa; grandsons, Jonathan (JT), of Sonoma, Reese and Gabriel, of Houston, and Rian, of Santa Rosa, along with granddaughter, Reilly, also of Santa Rosa. Hazel leaves numerous friends from all areas where she lived.

  At her request, there will be no formal services. Hazel’s favorite charities were Hanna Boys Center and Pets Lifeline.
