Harold Edward Sachse

  Harold Edward Sachse, 88, died Nov. 4, 2012, peacefully in Petaluma.

  Harold was the husband for 68 years of Mary Alice Sachse, of Sonoma; father of Ginny Cowen (Greg), of Half Moon Bay and Tom Sachse (Cheryl), of Washington, Utah; dear brother of Muriel Shallcross, Elwood Sachse, the late Clifford Sachse, and Evelyn Torode.

  He was the proud grandfather of Melissa, Daniel, Scott and Jenna; and great-grandfather of Alex, Riley, Jordyn and Goef. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

  Harold was a bridge tender for 23 years in New Jersey. He was a pool player with his cronies at Creekside Village and was a helpful aid to anyone needing help. He was a 23-year resident of Sonoma and a native of New Jersey.

  A memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 10, 2 p.m. at Creekside Village Club House. Donations to the charity of the donor’s choice is preferred.
