Sonoma resident Nancy Granger has had a long history with the rock ‘n’ roll scene, and frequently uses her connections to help causes important to her. This time, she’s teaming up with her son, James, in support of his childhood friend,Austin Ridge.
Sponsored by Coley Thinnes of the Olde Sonoma Public House, Granger will raffle off a Fender guitar signed by Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders. The white Fender guitar can be seen at the pub throughout the duration of the raffle, as well as online at trickstreetclothing.com. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. at the pub.
Raffle tickets are $20 each, and only 500 will be sold. Tickets can be purchased at the pub at 18615 Sonoma Highway, or at trickstreetclothing.com.
All of the raffle proceeds will be donated to Ridge, who was the victim of a vicious random attack in April that left him hospitalized for a month with multiple injuries including a brain bleed and broken jaw. Granger said Ridge plans to use the money to move on with his life.
