Grist Mill Restaurant Reborn

Sep 18, 2012 - 12:38 PM

Jack London Village in Glen Ellen has received new life and new owners this year, and with it the Grist Mill Restaurant and Wine Bar has risen anew, with owner Naravan Somname naming new chefs Thaddeus Palmese and William Inadomi.

The renovated Grist Mill will be open for lunch and dinner will feature Creole cuisine, and offer weekly live music and other family activities, including Monday night football

Somname, originally from Nepal, and owner of the Yeti Restaurant next door to the Grist Mill, says he is ready to take on an additional restaurant business. He has been a chef in India, Japan and California and a resident of Northern California for seven years.

Included on the regular menu will be locally made artisan hot sausages, and a city boy steak, plus an extensive hamburger menu and Creole dishes such as crawfish pies, gumbo, sautéed gulf shrimp, dirty rice, black eye pea salad, stone-ground grits and cornbread muffins.  For more details on the restaurant go to gristmillusa.com.

The Grist Mill, located at 14301 Arnold Drive, will be open Tuesdays through Sundays 11:30am to 2:30pm and 5pm to 9pm.  For reservations call (707) 933-3005.
