Gilberto Sanchez
Gilberto Sanchez passed away Nov. 12, 2012. He was born in Jalisco, Mexico.
Gilberto was, in every sense of the phrase, a real man. He fought through many adversities in his life, coming to America as an immigrant worker, yet never failed to provide for his family. His work ethic is still demonstrated, by his beautiful garden that resides at his home. While he preached toughness to all of his children and grandchildren, you could always feel love, affection, and warmth emanating through his classic sense of humor and golden smile. Gilberto, even when diagnosed with lung cancer, never stopped being himself; he held his head high and fought for his life until his last breath. Though his life was tragically cut short at age 61, his legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren and his beautiful rose and vegetable garden, which he took pride in. We know he’s in heaven looking down on us, giving us that smile that warmed so many hearts during his life.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Maria Sanchez; his five children, Monica Armstrong (Donte Armstrong), Hilda Castro (Saul Castro), Lurdes Castro (Francisco Castro), Beto Sanchez and Veronica Sanchez; his 11 grandchildren, Alicia Armstrong, Donte Armstrong Jr., Derek Armstrong, Andre Armstrong, Maria Castro, Erica Castro, Saul Castro Jr., Carolina Castro, Francisco Castro Jr., Diego Castro, Andrea Chavez; and great-grandchild, Nicole Vallejo. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all.

Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost one pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
Prayers are with you and all.
Karen Marler
