Fundraisers planned to support Schultz-Brandner

Oct 18, 2012 - 05:47 PM

Sonoma is coming out in support of Valley resident Nina Schultz-Brandner, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing treatment. A variety of fundraisers are taking place this week to raise money for her medical bills.

On Saturday, Oct. 20, a Zumba fundraiser is being offered by instructors Lauren Drinkhall, Susan DeGregory, Josh Heiser and Yoli Holman. The event takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Presentation School, 20872 Broadway and will also include a raffle with a variety of prizes. Breast cancer T-shirts will also be sold, and children are welcome to attend. There is a suggested donation of $20.

On Monday, Oct. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m., Sonoma’s new champagne bar, Sigh, will be fundraising as well. During the event, 100 percent of proceeds from the sale of Guavosas and Miller High Life (the champagne of beer) will be donated to Nina and her husband, Zach.

Sigh is located in “Vine Alley” at 29 E. Napa St., suite C, Sonoma.
