‘Free day’ at Jack London
As a thank you for the immense community support to keep the park open, Jack London State Historic Park is hosting a “free day” in the park on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Docents will be leading tours in the morning and afternoon to share the historical and natural wonders of the park. At 10 a.m., a hike will set out, lead by a docent.
During the day, the $10 parking fee will be waived. Usually, the $10 parking fee helps support operations at the park, which since May has been under the direction of the nonprofit Valley of the Moon Natural History Association.
