Fred Lusardi
Fred Lusardi, 75, passed away on Sept. 8, 2012 in Grass Valley.
He was the son of Bernice and Fred Lusardi Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 55 years; their two daughters, Christine and Nette Lusardi; two granddaughters, Allison Fears and Hannah Cook; and great-granddaughter Kylie Fears. Fred is also survived by his brothers, Larry (Ruby) and John (Chris) Lusardi. He was loved by his brother-in-laws, Paul (Diane) and Roger (Susan) Spagnoli. His humor will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Fred graduated from Riordan High School in San Francisco where he met Barbara. Fred and Barbara move to Burlingam. Fred worked for Pacific Bell and AT&T. Fred also worked as a pari-mutuel clerk for Bay Meadows and Golden Gate Fields. He was a satellite manager at the Vallejo facility.
Fred and Barbara moved to Sonoma to fulfill their passion for raising and showing miniature horses. They moved to Grass Valley to continue their passion.
Fred enjoyed being a member of Higgins Diggins Lions Club, Peninsula Italian American Social Club of San Mateo, Sirs of Grass Valley and Native Sons of the Golden West.
His wife and family will truly miss him. Services will be held for the immediate family. May he rest in peace.
