For the troops

Some 120-boxes of goodies are on the way to troops in Afghanistan after 13 volunteers spent more than 4-1/2-hours packing them last Thursday. Terry Leen, with American Legion Post #489, said the boxes, which contain things from personal hygiene, T-shirts and socks and snacks and cards from local fifth-graders, should arrive in Afghanistan in about two weeks. Leen said the part that took the most time was filling out the customs forms.
