For the price of an ice cream sundae

  After reading all the brouhaha in the paper about no longer being able to claim parcel taxes as a deduction on my income tax, I called my accountant to compute what it’ll cost me to have Measure A on my property tax bill.

  Together we figured that it would be the equivalent of an ice cream sundae a month (or a magazine, take your pick).

  For that, I get to have a hospital in my hometown. That’s a no-brainer where I come from. I know a bargain when I see it. My ballot arrived today, and I’m going to vote “yes” on Measure A.
