Evelyn Frances Cunningham

  Evelyn Frances Cunningham, 88, of Sonoma, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

  Born in 1924 in San Francisco, Evelyn was preceded in passing by her father, Patrick Cunningham and mother, Mary Harte Cunningham; as well as her sister, Marie Pelletier; and brother-in-law, Peter Pelletier; and brothers, John Cunningham and James Cunningham; and sister-in-law, Pauline Cunningham.

  She is survived by her two nieces and their spouses, Arleen Condrin (John) and Patricia Duffield (Larry); four nephews and their spouses, Michael Cunningham (Judy), Phillip Pelletier (Mary), Neil Cunningham (Susan) and Gerry Pelletier (Anne). She is also survived by 12 great-nieces and nephews and 16 great-great-nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins both in the United States and Ireland.

  Evelyn retired from a long career of service with both the United States State Department and United States Treasury Department. A dedicated family historian, Evelyn used her vast experience traveling the world for the State Department and her new found love of the Internet to research and chronicle the Cunningham and Harte families ancestry extending back many generations.

  Friends were invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St., Sonoma, CA, at 4 p.m. followed by a vigil at 7 p.m.

  A Mass will be said today, Friday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church, 469 Third St. W., Sonoma, CA 95476. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.
