Esther A. Gardner passed away peacefully Nov. 9, 2012, at her home in Sonoma, where she lived since 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Kirby; one sister, Gertrude Glanzman; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert A. Gardner and six siblings.
Born in Odessa, Wash., she moved to Seattle, Wash., upon high school graduation where she lived for 69 years.
Esther was a 50-year member of the Ark Chapter #86, Order of Eastern Star; a member of Hatasu Temple Daughters of Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America and P.E.O.
A private graveside service will be held at the Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle, Wash.
Memorial contributions can be made to a favorite charity.

I am so sorry to hear of this beautiful Ladys passing. I was fortunate to have been friends with her nieces Lois and Myra and with them met Ester in her beautiful Sonoma home. She was a true Lady and I know she will be missed by her family very much. Go with God Ester, you are home.
