Dragons hound ’Hounds
Sonoma’s Ed Pomeroy gets set to pull down the Healdsburg quarterback in Friday night’s game at Healdsburg. The Dragons took a 14-0 lead, but the Greyhounds narrowed the margin to 14-7 before the Dragons scored a touchdown late in the first half to take a 21-7 lead. The ’hounds scored a third-quarter touchdown to cut the margin to 21-14, but Sonoma put the game away with a TD with a little more than a minute to play for a 28-14 win. The win gives the Dragons a 4-3 overall record and a 2-1 conference mark. Sonoma returns home next Friday to host El Molino at Arnold Field.
