Dragons fall to Newman

Sonoma’s Justin McDonald, 24, knocks the ball out of a Cardinal Newman receiver’s hands in Friday night’s NCS tilt. The third-seeded Cardinal Newman ran off to a 34-0 halftime lead en route to a 44-7 win over the Dragons. The loss ends the Dragon season. Sonoma finished with a 7-4 overall record.
