On the heels of a thrilling win fueled by junior quarterback Dan Deely’s scintilating six-touchdown performance, the Sonoma Valley High School varsity football boys will face one of the biggest challenges in 2012 on the road tonight when they face a strong American Canyon team in their nonconference finale.

After beating San Marin 41-39 last Friday to improve their preseason record to 2-1, the Dragons will have to contend with undefeated American Canyon’s high-powered offense before they have to battle another offensive juggernaut in Analy to open their Sonoma County League season next Friday evening, Sept. 21, in Sebastopol.
