Knowing they were in for a challenging evening against a tall, quick and imposing opponent which is one of two Sonoma County League title favorites, the Sonoma Valley High School varsity basketball boys came out battling from the opening tip and played Windsor tough for a quarter-and-a-half to trail only 20-15.
But, despite their determination, hustle and continuous scrapping, the Dragons couldn’t deal with Windsor’s daunting height and dominating play in the post and dropped a 59-34 decision last night in Pfeiffer Gym.
