Dominic Gabriel Smith Jr.

  Dominic Gabriel Smith, Jr., 43, passed away suddenly at home in Sonoma on Nov.14, 2012. Dominic was born in Oakland with greatest joy on March 20, 1969, to Alexandra and George Smith Jr. Dominic was a painter for 25 years and a 16-year resident of Sonoma.

  Dominic is survived by his loved ones who have tremendous grief. Those survivors include his parents, Alexandra Czech-Smith and George Smith, Jr.; his sister, Nicole Smith, of Oakland; his brother, Matt Dearing, of Williams, Ariz.; his step-siblings, Skipper, Ray, Greg and Renee; his aunties, Helen, Cookie and Pat; and his cousin, Chris.

  His sudden departure stunned and devastated his mother’s family and relatives whom are too numerous to list here, as well as the Smith and Jones relatives in Beaumont, Texas. His siblings, Nicole and Matt both realize that Dominic is now free and they will one day meet him again.

  Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Dominic’s life on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012. Time and location are still pending at press time. Private inurnment was previously held before the service of celebration.
