Dolores Gary

Dolores Gary passed peacefully away in Sonoma on June 17, 2012, after a brief illness, her family at her side. She was 82.

  A native of San Francisco and 64-year resident of Petaluma and Sonoma, Dolores persevered through a tough childhood to raise four children who survive her – Anita Gager, Kathy Matteri (Dave Rumbaugh), Garret Gary (Anne) and Mark Gary (Karen). She is also survived by her grandson, Carson Gary, and is preceded in death by her grandson, Sam Gager.

  Dolores expressed a need to care for others and as a nurse in Petaluma and later as a LVN at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital she was able to do that. The need to care for others continued until the day she died. She did it her way.

  In memory of Dee, as she was known to friends and family, “live life well.”

  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
