Dennis Clark Tinsley

Dennis Clark Tinsley died unexpectedly of complications from lung cancer, in Bay Point, on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, 2012. A native of San Francisco born to Charles and Betty Tinsley on Nov. 9, 1950, he was an 18-year resident of Sonoma. He was 62.
A kind and loving person who loved family gatherings, the Oakland A’s, football and motorsports, he always had a smile on his face. He loved living in Sonoma and the time devoted to his children, family and friends.
He was a member of the Sailors Union of the Pacific for 46 years, following in his father’s footsteps and truly devoting himself to the ocean as a merchant seaman. During this time he spent many years going to the Far East as well as traveling around the world by ship.
Dennis is survived by his children, Daniel, Jolene and Scott Tinsley; by his mother, Betty Tinsley; by his sisters, Joanne (Bob) Branconi, Elaine Burstein and Carole Stinnett (Dante Pellegri). He was the uncle of Jason Stinnett, Michael (Megan) Burstein, Jennifer Burstein, Mark and Jeremy Branconi; and great-uncle of J.D. and Emily Joy.
His warmth, smile and presence will truly be missed by all.
At his request there will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
  Private Inurnment.
