County power grab

  So, our far-sighted elected officials just cannot wait to get Sonoma County into the power business.

  Instead of doing the job of running the county efficiently, they want to grab some of the money that PG&E collects for supplying power, and under the guise of “green energy,” make it more expensive for you and me to live here.

  How many new government employees, with six-figure salaries, administrative staff, all with public pension perks (costs we cannot afford) will it take to please their vanity?

  And let’s be perfectly frank about this, public takeover of this utility business will not create any new energy sources, nothing will be created but paper shuffling to grab profits and tax money.

  We are already under the gun with the state cap-and-trade measure, that will raise our utility bills and further drive business out.

  We don’t need more of such abuse from elected officials who obviously do not represent our interests.
