Constance Calvelli
Constance Calvelli
Constance Joan Calvelli, 85, of Sonoma, died on Sunday, June 24, 2012, after a period of health issues. She was surrounded by her three children, Lisa Calvelli (Jacqueline Madden), of Berkeley, Michael Calvelli (Melissa Calvelli), of Larkspur, and Mary Calvelli, of Sonoma. She will also be sadly missed by her four grandchildren – Katelyn, Angie, Maggie and Peter.
Connie was born in Great Neck, N.Y., and spent most of her life in California. Connie graduated from Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills and spent 10 years working for Universal Studios. It was there she met her loving husband Joseph Calvelli. They were married in 1955. They raised their family in Malibu and Ventura and even ventured to British Columbia, Canada.
Connie loved to travel and she never missed visiting her children as they traversed the country. She enjoyed discovering new cities and always found beauty in new places. She eventually settled in Sonoma.
Connie loved great food, discussing the news and always following her favorite sports team.
During the last six years of her life, Connie had to endure a life of dialysis. This was made so much easier by her loving friends at FISH (Friends In Sonoma Helping), an amazing organization that provided not only rides three times a week to Napa but endless friendship, compassion, support and love. These wonderful individuals became her close friends and made the difficulty of dialysis that much easier.
Her family would like to thank FISH, Dr. Thomas Paukert and his entire health care team.
Memorial donations may be made to FISH.
