Connecticut connection

Editor, Index-Tribune:

    

  I had not sobbed in many years

  Until today brought floods of tears;

  The Newtown news of massive death

  Has barely let me catch my breath;

  The callous killer shot those kids,

  Committing what our God forbids.

  Attacks on tiny tots we find,

  Had hate and evil intertwined.

  For students, dawn won’t come again

  (With principal – a mother hen.)

  When tragedies like this occur,

  It’s almost too much to endure.

  Now parents, all across the land,

  Should take the time for hugs unplanned.
