Feb 14, 2013 - 02:25 PM

The Sonoma Community Center today announced the return of its Community Table dinner series featuring uncommon dinners and culinary events prepared by local chefs and winemakers. The series begins Saturday, Feb. 23, with Chef Rob Larman of Cochon Volant.

Larman will offer a salad of roasted beets and citrus, duck legs braised in red wine, Yukon gold potato pureé, roasted root vegetables, blood orange cake with lemon curd and mixed berries. The meal will feature wines by Cline Cellars.

On Saturday, March 30, Cafe La Haye will present a three-course menu by executive chef Jeremy H. Lloyd. Wild Thyme Catering comes in on Saturday, April 27, led by Chef Beau Filipello with produce from Wild Thyme’s own organic garden. Then on Thursday, May 30, the Girl and the Fig will offer a three-course dinner paired by Sondra Bernstein and John Toulze with wine by Benziger Family Winery.

This year’s series, sponsored by the Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers Foundation, features wines exclusively by the organization’s members.

Tickets for the fundraising dinners are $65. To reserve a seat, drop by the center at 276 E. Napa St., phone 938-4626, ext. 1, or visit sonomacommunitycenter.org.
