Chuck Fleming, a unique human being

  Chuck Fleming was unique and special – one of a kind. Chuck was a compassionate, considerate and kind individual. Chuck was a protector of animals. Chuck was a petanqué player. Chuck was appreciated by many, including myself and feline Chubbs.

  That black SUV, a familiar site in the La Casa parking lot is missing, creating a big void in the parking lot, as well as in the lives of those who knew and waited for Chuck to arrive. Chuck had originated a special margarita at La Casa, which has become known as “The Chuck.” Some voids can never be filled.

  We miss that tall, thin, curley-headed Chuck Fleming, but at the same time, and without a doubt, we know he will always be near us, especially in times of need. We are so fortunate in having been gifted to know him.

  Yes, Chuck Fleming was indeed a rare, special and unique human being.
