Chili Bowl Express at SCC
GUESTS CAN SELECT from more than 150 handmade bowls at Chili Bowl Express.
The Sonoma Community Center is bringing back its immensely popular annual Chili Bowl Express fundraising event, to be held in Andrews Hall on Friday, Feb. 10, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Upon admission, ticket buyers can choose from more than 150 handmade ceramic bowls, created by one of Sonoma’s many local artists, and have it filled with your choice of gourmet chili.
The evening’s chefs will include Rob Larman of Sonoma, who will make three-meat chili; and Sarah Brown who will create a mouth-watering vegetarian chili. Guests get to take their bowl home to keep.
Once again, Sonoma County’s Cadillac Converters will be playing live music.
SCC is partnering with local businesses and entertainers to stage the event.
The meal is made possible in part by in-kind donations from Whole Foods Sonoma and Lagunitas Brewery.
This year’s event will include a silent auction, featuring an array of handmade serving bowls created by Sonoma’s fine ceramic artists. All proceeds will support Sonoma Community Center’s arts programs.
Tickets are $22.50 a person and available through the Sonoma Valley Box Office at the Community Center. For tickets, call 938-4626, ext. 1, drop by the center at 276 E. Napa St. or visit www.sonomacommunitycenter.org.
Sonoma Community Center exists to enrich the lives of Sonoma Valley residents by fostering a broad range of cultural, educational, and community services and by the preservation of its historic building.
