Cheering on the champs

Valley residents were huddled around their TVs Sunday evening to see if the San Francisco Giants could sweep the Detroit Tigers and capture their second World Series championship in three years. Among the fans watching at Cary’s Sports Grill on Arnold Drive were, from left, Scott McAlpine, Wayne Heyerly and Martin Laney. The Giants didn’t disappoint and swept the Tigers.
