Bully for Mather
Editor, Index-Tribune:
Calvin Trillin so rightly said: “The best thing you can be is CEO, no matter what, you always get your dough.”
Not only did CEO Kelly Mather get a continuance of her hospital contract, she also received, for her performance, a salary enhancement from $235,000 to $281,000.
At the Sept.6 Sonoma Valley Hospital board meeting, Carolyn Stone testified that Ms. Mather had bullied the volunteer foundation group whose sole purpose was to raise money for the hospital by limiting the time the group might spend at the hospital (one hour a week!) to do their volunteer work.
I am resentful that a person who resides in Lakeport and does not pay the non-deductible hospital parcel tax, is so glorified monetarily for her extreme bullishness!

(Editor’s note: As reported to the Index-Tribune, Kelly Mather’s received a 3 percent raise of $8,190, meaning her salary changed from $273,000 to $281,190. She also receive a one-time performance bonus of $30,974.)
