Brown to discuss Hwy. 12 Thursday

First District Supervisor Valerie Brown will be at Thursday’s Springs Community Alliance meeting to update the group on Highway 12.

The Highway 12 project, which was only months from going out to bid, has been on hold since the dissolution of redevelopment agencies in California early this year and as county and State officials attempt to reach agreement on the project’s funding.

The county has submitted the project to the state for approval three times, but the state has yet to approve.

Brown has long been a champion of the Highway 12 project and is determined to see it completed.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Sonoma Valley Grange, 18627 Highway 12.
