Bicyclist injured after collision with pickup
A 68-year-old bicyclist suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries after colliding with a pickup truck Saturday morning at the intersection of First Street East and East Spain Street.
According to the Sonoma Police Department, at about 9:50 a.m., a pickup truck was driven by 41-year-old Benjamin Scott of Sonoma was westbound on East Spain Street when he collided with the 68-year-old female bicyclist who was northbound on First Street East. The bicyclist, a Corte Madera resident, was knocked to the pavement.
The woman, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa with a head injury that has been reported to be non-life-threatening.
The cause of the collision hasn't been established and is still under investigation.
