Benefit concert for Plaskett Saturday
Train Wreck Junction will perform Saturday at a fundraiser for Jarrad Plaskett
Mooneyhan Promotions is joining up with the family and friends of Jarrad Plaskett to offer a fundraising concert “Hunting for Bucks” on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Moose Lodge. Plaskett was seriously injured in a tree removal accident in November, but is back home in Sonoma after spending seven weeks in the hospital.
There will be a spaghetti dinner, silent auction, door prizes and live music from JoyRide, Train Wreck Junction and Backtrax Rock Band. There will be no host bar as well.
With the proceeds from the event, Plaskett’s family hopes to buy him a motorized, four-wheel drive wheelchair to help him get back to his favorite hobby: hunting. Donations can also be made at Bank of America to the Jarrad Plaskett Fund.
Admission to the benefit concert is $20, but children under 8 are free. Tickets can be purchased at West America Bank and Pharmaca in advance, or at the door.
The event is sponsored by the Native Sons of the Golden West, Parolor #111.
