Saul Gropman, owner of Sonoma’s Cafe La Haye restaurant and former classical guitar instructor at San Francisco State University, came together with Ramekins’ owners Sarah and Darius Anderson to bring Barrueco to Sonoma for this unique concert.
Gropman received his bachelor’s degree and master’s of music with Barrueco at the Manhattan School of Music and the two have been looking for an opportunity for him to perform in Sonoma for a long time. “I am very excited for this unique opportunity to have one of the most celebrated and talented guitarists perform in Sonoma thanks to the largesse of Sarah and Darius,” said Gropman. “Mr. Barrueco combines the most elegant musicianship with an unparalleled technique.”
