‘Barcelona in the Barn’ to benefit WillMar

Mar 7, 2013 - 04:21 PM

Take a trip to Spain without leaving Sonoma. The WillMar Family Grief and Healing Center is planning the fundraiser “Barcelona in the Barn,” a feast of paella planned at Benziger Family Winery for Saturday, March 23.

Special guest emcee and auctioneer will be Doug McConnell of the Emmy Award-winning “Bay Area Back Roads” and “Open Road.TV.” There will be plentiful plates of paella and samples of wines to enjoy, in addition to live music and a silent and live auction.

WillMar Family Grief and Healing Center is a nonprofit organization that provides free support services to youth (ages 3 to 19 years) and adults who are grieving the death of someone, or who live with someone with a life-changing illness or injury. WillMar provides a safe, healing environment, compassionate support that encourages children express themselves through the expressive arts and to find hope through their connections with others. WillMar also extends emergency support services to schools and local business in Sonoma Valley in times of tragedy.

Tickets to “Barcelona in the Barn” are $175 and selling quickly.

For tickets, more information about this event or details about program services, contact WillMar Center at 935-1946, info@willmarcenter.org or willmarcenter.org.
