BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS of Sonoma Valley need referees for their basketball leagues for boys and girls in third-through-eighth grades. Experience is preferred, and so are adult refs, but training is available and high school students are welcome to inquire. Referees are paid for each game. SONOMA VALLEY TENNIS Association will hold a Friday Post-Thanksgiving Afternoon Round Robin event at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park courts on Nov. 23, with warmups starting at 2, and play beginning promptly at 2:15 p.m. Cost is free to SVTA members and $10 for nonmembers, with the player limit being the first 20 registering. The SVTA’s final free program session for beginners and returning players takes place from 3 to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Maxwell Farms courts. No registration is required. SONOMA BOCCE BALL Association recently ended its 2012 seasons of play in the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday leagues. If you are interested in joining the SBBA – the annual membership cost is $20 a person – or for more details, call (John) 938-2101 or (Ginette) 935-3337.
