The 1944 Cary Grant hit “Arsenic and Old Lace” returns to the silver screen at the Sebastiani Theatre.

“Arsenic and Old Lace” the famous 1944 classic film starring Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane and Raymond Massey, will show at the Sebastiani Theatre on Monday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m., as part of the Vintage Film Series #4, presented by the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation. 

Directed by Frank Capra and written by Julius J. Epstein, Philip G. Epstein and Joseph Kesselring, “Arsenic and Old Lace” is the story of a drama critic who learns on his wedding day that his beloved maiden aunts are homicidal maniacs, and that insanity runs in his family. 

 The Vintage Film Series bring classic cinema to life on the silver screen. This next series includes:

• “Houseboat” (1958) - March 5 and 7, starring Cary Grant, Sophia Loren and Martha Hyer.

• “San Francisco” (1936) - April 2 ad 4, starring Clark Gable, Jeanette MacDonald and Spencer Tracy.

• “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938) - May 7 and 9, starring Errol Flynn, Olivia DeHavilland and Basil Rathbone.

• “An American in Paris” (1951) - June 4 and 6, starring Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, Oscar Levant, Georges Gueary and Nina Foch.

Wine by the glass will be offered for sale at Monday evening showings.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for Monday evening movies with show time at 7 p.m.  Wednesday matinees will show at 1 p.m. with doors open a half hour ahead. 

Admission is $8.
