Arline Dolores Arbini passed away in Sonoma on Sept. 19, 2012, at the age of 78. Arline was a native of, and had been a longtime resident of, San Rafael, where she attended San Rafael High School and graduated in 1951.
Arline was the daughter of Alice Leonardi Arbini and Anthony Arbini, lifetime residents of San Rafael and parishioners of St. Raphael Church. In her youth, Arline worked at Macy’s and the Marin County Water District. During the last three years, she was a resident of London House Sonoma, where her favorite outings were visiting her beloved cat, Sophie, with her caregiver and dear friend, Sonja Carrasquillo. Arline will be lovingly remembered for her firm opinions, sense of humor, and love of animals, music, sports and pancakes.
Arline was predeceased by her parents and brother, Ronald Anthony Arbini. Arline is survived by her aunt, Marianette Leonardi; sister-in-law, Tosca Bernardini-Lenci; nieces, Stephanie Rubinoff and Valerie Smith; great-niece, Lia Rubinoff; great-nephews, Michael Smith, John Smith, Martin Horowitz; and many cousins and friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staff of London House Sonoma for their devoted care and support.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Valley Cemetery, 425 E. MacArthur St., Sonoma. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Arline’s memory to a charity of your choice.
