Applicants sought for school board

The Sonoma Valley Unified School District is accepting applications to replace Camerino Hawing as a member of the school board from the El Verano attendance area.

Applicants must live in the El Verano defined attendance area and must be a registered voter. An informational meeting for prospective candidates will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the district office, 17850 Railroad Ave. 

The deadline for all applications is 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30.

Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with the school board in open session at the Sept. 11 meeting. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Community Meeting Room, 177 First St. W.
