Another beauty attraction from the school district
Editor, Index-Tribune:
The Nathanson Creek Ecology Preserve area, adjoining the Sonoma Valley High School athletic fields, has just spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars in beautifying this area. Picnic tables, landscaping, rest benches along the walking/bike path, trees with irrigation system and debris clean-up of the creek, were all paid for to enhance the attractiveness in the vicinity.
Now, the school district has come up with their contribution. They have selected to put an ugly blue metal storage container, with advertising posted conspicuously on each side, directly in the middle of this on-field area (alongside the bike path and freshly planted trees), exhibiting another blow against what was supposed to be a good thin for all of Sonoma.
What is it with the school district? We taxpayers pay for solar panels, yet homeowners are subjected to vies of Star War-like panoramas in front of their homes. I guess the taxpayer will accumulate the bill for the ugly storage container and the owners of the company is the recipient of free advertising. What a deal?
