Amistad Awards dinner benefits Nuestra Voz
In celebration of Nuestra Voz’s third annual Amistad (Friendship) Awards, a dinner will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Robledo Family Winery.
The Amistad Awards, presented this year jointly by Consul General of Mexico Carlos Felix Corona and Sonoma Mayor Joanne Sanders, honors three individuals whose service to the Hispanic community of Sonoma Valley goes above and beyond the call of duty.
For the first time this year, the event will also honor three couples who work together to support Latinos in the Valley.
This year’s award recipients are 1st District Supervisor Valerie Brown; Sonoma City Councilmember Laurie Gallian; Claudia Mendoza-Carruth, of MC(2) Multicultural Communications; Reynaldo and María Robledo, founders and owners of Robledo Winery; Antonio and Jenni Barrios, who own Rancho Viejo restaurant; and Arturo and Martha Ulloa, Chapala Market owners.
The third annual Amistad Awards is an intimate dinner limited to 100 attendees.
Dinner and pastries will be provided by Rancho Viejo restaurant.
Entertainment will include a music du by Josué Solís and Jamie Resvem, as well as a musical surprise.

General admission is $85. Tickets can be purchased at the Nuestra Voz Center or at the door.
