A very clear message to terrorists?

Dec 10, 2012 - 04:59 PM

Editor, Index-Tribune:

Questions concerning Benghazi are still unanswered. Who refused Ambassador Stevens’ repeated requests for additional security? In his debate with Paul Ryan, Joe Biden claimed “we” didn’t know they wanted more security.

Was the White House not aware of the IED thrown into the consulate on April 6? Not aware of the first rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Red Cross? Did Obama not know of the IED that blasted a 12-foot hole in the consulate wall in June? A few days later, a rocket-propelled grenade attacked the British ambassador’s convoy. Then came a bold daylight attack on the Red Cross. All personnel were evacuated, leaving only the U.S. consulate whose security was ominously lacking.

Now they blame it on “budget constraints.” No such constraint existed for Obama who attended 33 fundraising events that month.

Ambassador Chris Stevens, diplomat Sean Smith and former SEALS Ty Woods and Glen Doherty, were killed in a pre-planned attack. Who fingered Susan Rice to spin a trumped-up tale of a “spontaneous protest?”

Al Qaeda terrorists were alive and flourishing in Benghazi. Osama bin Laden’s death was campaign fodder. In reality, his demise is a mere footnote. Only the president can send our military into another country. His lack of response to the Benghazi siege sends a very clear message to terrorists.
