A glitzy, Gatsby New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner, so break out those cocktail dresses and dust-off those tuxedos. It’s time to get your glam on and help the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance ring in the New Year at the “Glitz and Gatsby Gala” on Dec. 31 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Lodge at Sonoma.

  The night begins with a chic cocktail reception, passed hors d’oeuvres, special entertainment from “The Great Gatsby” era and the unveiling of the signature drink known as the Great Mentini. 

  Guests are then escorted into the tent that has been transformed into a 1920s ballroom. A gourmet dinner follows, with dancing to the sounds of the Dave Martin House Party band. The evening concludes with a champagne toast at midnight, plus a few more surprises to ring in 2013.

  There is no live auction, guests can bid on an exclusive selection of silent auction lots that include surf and snow destinations, cooking classes, fishing trips, elegant cheese tasting parties and more.
