4-H skit earns gold

On Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, members of the Sonoma Valley 4-H Presentation and Public Speaking project, performed an original skit, “Toto, We Are Not in 4-H Anymore!” at the Sonoma County 4-H County Presentation Day in Rohnert Park.

The group received a gold award which makes them eligible to go onto Sectional Presentation Day on March 31 at UC Davis. Individual Presentations were also given and the following awards were earned: Savannah Schell, gold; Emma Lorenzen and Mia Castro, gold; Ava Casro, gold and blue; Hannah Breall, blue and Francesca Pharo, red.

Gold aware winners will also have the chance to present at UC Davis at the 4-H Sectional Presentation Day. Public speaking is one of the cornerstones of the 4-H program and every member is encourage to learn the fundamentals of public speaking and give presentations during their 4-H club work.
