Youth football, cheer sign-ups; Dragon boys soccer camp; Sonoma Aquatic Club programs

SONOMA VALLEY YOUTH Football and Cheer Junior Dragons began practice sessions for the 2011 season yesterday and will continue holding registration for ages 7-to-15-years-old from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily through this Friday, July 29, at the Sonoma Valley High School fields. Forms required to register include the player/parent contract and code of ethics, and the NBYFC medical release. For more details, visit sonomajrdragons.net.
 
SONOMA VALLEY HIGH School’s boys soccer program’s annual fundraising soccer camp for boys in ninth-through-12th grades, takes place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the SVHS field on Wednesday, Aug. 10, and Thursday, Aug. 11. The camp fee is on a donation basis, and boys must bring running and soccer shoes, and plenty of water. For more details, contact SVHS boys’ assistant varsity soccer coach Mike Linder at 938-1179.
 

SONOMA AQUATIC CLUB (formerly Agua Caliente Aquatic Center) is holding registration for its summer swim programs for ages 3-months-old to adults at the SAC site, 17350 Vailetti Drive. The programs include swim lessons (ages 3-and-older); stroke school (ages 5-and-older, deep-water safe); Sea Dragon swim team (novice/competitive – ages 5-and-older); junior lifeguard camps (ages 7-to-14); water polo clinics (ages 7-to-14); parent and tot water classes (ages 3-to-36 months); and adults and masters swim programs. NORTH BAY SOCCER Camps will hold its final session of youth camps for boys and girls ages 4 to 13, at Maxwell Farms Regional Park’s lower fields on Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5. SONOMA BOCCE BALL Association has started summer league play at the bocce courts south of the gazebo in Depot Park, with the nine-week league sessions ending on Wednesday, Nov. 2. New members are welcome and there are currently openings in the Saturday morning 9 a.m. league.
