Young student, Sonoma Hills, donate presents

Luna Diaz (above center), age 8, whose grandmother, Anita Palominos, is a housekeeper at Sonoma Hills Retirement, knows the real meaning of Christmas.  Instead of asking for presents this year, she collected toy donations from the residents at Sonoma Hills to give to children who are suffering from cancer and other illnesses at the Children’s Hospital in Oakland. Luna wrote the residents about her project saying her grandmother has taught her to be thankful for what she has and to help others who are less fortunate. Luna, her mother, Angelica (left), and grandmother, Anita, stand with some of the many presents donated.
