William Jerome Stevens

Entered into the loving arms of our Lord on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2011, Bill put up a great fight against lung cancer.

He was born in Denver, Colo., on July 22, 1942. He attended Lutheran High and Mesa College. He served in the Navy for four years. Bill has worn many "caps," such as data processing, bar owner, carpet cleaner, and his favorite, handyman. Bill enjoyed helping people.

Bill is survived by his best friend and wife for 43 years, Elda Marie; sister-in-law, Fran Adams; brothers-in-law, Bill Adams, Gene Adams and Wil Adams; his aunts, Queen Stevens and Margaret O'Keefe; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 6, at 3 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 4325 Mayette Ave., Santa Rosa, CA.

Remembrances may be made with flowers or donations to St. Mark's Twice Blessed Food Pantry, or Santa Rosa Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
