Will your mom be next?

  I had a dear friend hit by a car in a crosswalk at the intersection of Temelec and Mission.

  She is lucky to be alive. My concern is that there is only one crosswalk and there are four corners. No signs posted for pedestrians. “Stop” is not painted at all.

  I have personally witnessed cars running this stop sign, not waiting for pedestrians to complete the crossing, and speeding.

  Besides the islands that divide some streets, there are no lines, dotted solid, nothing.

  This is a serious matter. If only the homeowners association would address this issue a long time ago, my friend would never have lost so much time being a very active and helpful person. We are all glad that she is recovering well.
